Bangalore College of Nursing is Recognized by INC/KNC and affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. Below is the details of Admission for BSc Nursing and GNM Nursing.
Eligibility for BSc Nursing Admission
A Candidate seeking admission shall have :-
- A pass in 10th/+2 Examination.
- Pass in Two year PUC equivalent recognized by RGUHS with Science subjects viz. Physics, Biology, Chemistry.
- Obtained 45% marks in Physics, Biology, Chemistry and English.In case of SC/ST/OBC, relaxed to 40%.
- Age – completed 17 Years.
- Fair knowledge in English is essential. Should be physically fit with sound mental health.
Certificates Required for Admission
Attested copies of the following certificates to be sent along with the application form.
- Marks card of the qualifying examination (II PUC/ PDC).
- SSLC marks card (with date of birth).
- Transfer Certificate.
- Migration Certificate.
- Conduct Certificate from Institution Last Attended.
- SC/ST/OBC Certificate (applicable only if it is attested).
- Eligibility Certificate.
Year wise distribution of Week Days & Hours of the Course Maximum hours per week per student shall be 36 to 40 including class room institutions and clinical field practice.
- 1stYear 46 Weeks 1480 Hours.
- 2ndYear 46 Weeks 1480 Hours.
- 3rdYear 46 Weeks 1480 Hours.
- 4thYear 46 Weeks 1690 Hours.
Eligibility Criteria for GNM
A Candidate seeking admission shall have :-
Minimum and Maximum age for admission will be 17 and 35 years. There is no age bar for
ANM/LHV.
Minimum education:
- 10+2 class passed preferably Science (PCB) English with aggregate of 40% marks.
o 10+2 in Arts (Mathematics, Biotechnology, Economics, Political Science, History,
Geography, Business Studies, Accountancy, Home Science, Sociology,
Psychology, Philosophy) and English Core/English Elective or Health care Science –
Vocational stream ONLY, passing out from recognized Board under
AISSCE/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/HSCE or other equivalent Board with 40% marks. - 10+2 vocational ANM under CBSE Board or other equivalent board with 40% marks.
- Registered as ANM with State Nursing Registration Council.
- Student shall be medically fit.
- Students qualified in 10+2 Arts or Science examination or Health care Science – Vocational
stream ONLY conducted by National Institute of Open School with 40% marks.
